Exclusions & Limitations — policy details

Clarity You Can Count On

We cover what matters most. To keep coverage fair and sustainable, certain activities and conditions fall outside the policy.

Insurance is designed to protect against unexpected accidents—not reckless, intentional, or preventable behavior. Exclusions and limitations make sure that coverage remains fair for all drivers and sustainable over time. They protect responsible renters while discouraging misuse, ensuring premiums stay affordable and claims are paid quickly for genuine accidents.

At Inuity, we designed our exclusions with one goal in mind: to protect responsible drivers who want to enjoy exotic cars with confidence. By focusing coverage on genuine, accidental losses—and excluding reckless or intentional misuse—we keep our promise to pay when it matters most.

1. Unsafe or Prohibited Driving

  • Driving 19+ mph over the posted speed limit
  • Participating in speed contests, racing, stunts, or exhibitions
  • Use on racetracks, off-road terrain, beaches, or unpaved surfaces
  • Reckless or grossly negligent operation that materially contributes to the loss
  • Driving while committing criminal traffic violations (e.g., DUI, felony flight, reckless driving)
  • Operation by anyone without a valid driver’s license or not named on the rental agreement
  • Use by valets, chauffeurs, ride-share, or any for-hire purposes

2. Excluded Loss Types

  • Mechanical/electrical breakdowns, normal wear and tear, tire damage, or maintenance issues not caused by a covered collision
  • Damage while operating outside the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico (unless specifically endorsed)
  • Use in restricted zones (e.g., military bases, airport tarmacs, active construction zones)
  • Damage caused by crime, fraud, or intentional acts
  • Losses from reckless indifference to obvious risks (e.g., drifting into crowds, donuts in public areas)
  • Losses otherwise covered by other collectible insurance (Inuity remains excess)
  • Nuclear events, war, terrorism, riots, or civil commotion

3. Improper Vehicle Use

  • Launch control, over-revving, or abusive driving beyond manufacturer recommendations
  • Overloading beyond manufacturer weight specifications
  • Improper fueling (e.g., regular gas or diesel in a premium exotic engine)
  • Driving on flooded roads, through standing water, or water fording
  • Failing to follow rental agreement security requirements (e.g., leaving keys in an unattended car)
